The Taoist Internal Alchemy — Basic Level is the entry point into a complete Internal Alchemy System, designed to develop health and consciousness in an integrated way. A defining mark of our school is the perfect match between Qigong training and the meditative movements of Internal Alchemy: body-based practices and inner methods are taught together to optimize the three level interdependent cultivation of Jing, Qi, and Shen.
Cultivating Shen (神) means refining the quality of mind and presence: stabilizing attention, harmonizing emotions, and developing inner coherence. Shen training is practical: This is “spirit” grounded in the body.
Shen Cultivation Practices
Capacities to develop (Shen)
- Emotional harmony and self-regulation
- Mental stability, focus, and clarity
- Greater presence and centering under pressure
- Ability to recognize and transform psychosomatic patterns
- Integration of mind–heart–body into a coherent inner state
Practices / methods you will learn (Shen)
- Inner Smile (Shen connection and deep acceptance)
- Centering techniques for emotional transformation
- Healing Sounds applied to emotional alchemy
- Three Minds Qigong
- Three Minds Integration Meditation
- 5 Organs Qigong
- Emotional harmonization meditation through the 5 Phases control cycle
Cultivating Qi (氣) strengthens the body as the foundation of vitality: building a stable, energized, well-rooted organism that can sustain practice and daily life. In the basic level, you learn how to develop consistent energy, improve internal organization, and increase embodied stability. Qi training supports the transformation of the other treasures as well—Jing becomes more usable, and Shen becomes steadier.
Qi Cultivation Practices
Capacities to develop (Qi)
- Increased vitality and sustained energy
- Stronger structure, grounding, and stability
- Better circulation and internal organization
- Improved body awareness and energetic sensitivity
- Greater consistency and endurance in practice
Practices / methods you will learn (Qi)
- Qigong principles through Yiquan Style
- Foundational body-and-breath methods to support an active Dantian as the “alchemical cauldron”
- Zhan Zhuang (standing practice)
- Microcosmic Orbit Qigong
- Microcosmic Orbit meditation (3 styles)
Cultivating Jing (精) means learning to preserve and refine creative/sexual energy as a source of health, pleasure, and longevity. At the basic level, sexual alchemy is approached as training and cultivation, not performance: developing sensitivity, balance, and the ability to circulate and harmonize sexual vitality. When Jing is well cultivated, it supports stronger Qi and a calmer, clearer Shen.
Jing Cultivation Practices
Capacities to develop (Jing)
- Preservation and refinement of sexual/creative energy
- Deeper vitality, recovery capacity, and longevity support
- Harmonization of sexual energy (less leakage, more stability)
- Ability to circulate and transform sexual power into usable vitality
- Greater sensitivity to pleasure and integration of pleasure–health–presence
Practices / methods you will learn (Jing)
- Deer Qigong
- Riding the Dragon Qigong
- Zhan Zhuang postures for Jing
- Sexual Energy Cultivation Qigong:
- Ovarian and testicular breathing
- Lower circulation of sexual energy
